Another day, another postcard. And again - those colors. A few folks asked about a Story I posted that featured the Oregon City elevator. Here’s a quick Reel on it through the years. #oregoncity #downtownoregoncity #clackamashistory The caption on this postcard reads "The Very Busy Willamette River at Night." The moody Holiday Lodge in Salem, 1960s. Great sign and marketing, too: 4 people $12. Near 99 and I-5. Fun with Google Streetview - the Dockside in 2007 and in 2019. Hanging in there! Downtown Oregon City. The I.O.O.F. Lodge is "the finest commercial building left in the upper town. It's a two-story, brick building erected by the Odd Fellows in 1922." Gritty 70s Portland. Love those colors. #1970s #portlandhistory Santa Monica Court Apartments, built 1925. Love that neon - and palm trees. Some great older apartment buildings in this part of town (Castle Rose, Del Rey, etc.) Flashback Friday: May, 2014. Apple Store Pioneer Place, under construction.
