Step inside the Golden Nugget, Milwaukie’s perfectly preserved bar

I’ve walked by the Golden Nugget in downtown Milwaukie (that would be Oregon) untold times over the years but had never stepped foot inside until recently, and man, I’ve been missing out. Time capsule. Friendly bartender, late 60s interior vibe, booths.

It’s part of a larger parcel that includes a restaurant and another larger bar that was recently sold and has new owners. Who knows what’s next (and if you do know, comment.)

Thanks for hanging out @dkcomet

  1. Thanks John. Notwithstanding my idiosyncratic pursuit of bars and breweries, I didn’t realize this one was nearby and has a great history.

It begs the question, as to whether you and I should dry to finally meet in person and raise a mug of Budweiser there. Cheers
