(Greetings from Oregon is an occasional look at found postcards from around the state.)
Wow – neon overload (not there’s anything wrong with that – unless you’re trying to fall asleep after traveling all day).
From the back of the postcard:
The Swept Wing Motel, next to the Albany Airport at the intersection of I-5 and Hwy 20.
Albany’s newest and finest motel accommodations. All its beautifully furnished, air-conditioned with individual controlled heat. Large heated swimming pool plus steam baths, phones, TV—everything for your personal comfort. Excellent restaurant nearby.

A quick search also revealed it might’ve been a teen dancing club in the 60s called the Swept Wing Inn.

What was the truck stop with the huge neon martini glass that filled and emptied? Mid 1960s
No clue, but wow, sounds amazing.
You’re referring to the T&R the sign. It is still standing without any neon, now advertising the Phoenix inn
Thanks – driven by that so many, many times and never made the connection.
