Kah-Nee-Ta Vacation Resort

Cottages, teepees and a mobile park? Sign me up!
Honestly? I’d take this 60s version over the current casino version any day.

  1. damn….that aerial view makes it look like some kind of lost paradise! went there last year…that big pool rocks! one of the views out the window of the restaurant it seems like you are in the middle of NOWHERE (which you kinda are).

  2. I always wanted to go there as a child. I no longer have that dream, but I did make it there about 15 years ago. it was ok.

  3. We always stayed in a tipi there when I was a kid, then went horseback riding on weird trails, and then swimming the hot spring pool. It was great when I was a kid. Haven’t been there in years, but my mom has been to the casino hotel for work events. She says the gambling is better at Spirit Mountain. So much for “work” huh Mom?

  4. During spring break my senior year in high school (1967) I went with 3 friends to Kah-Nee-Ta for the day . I lived in Portland. It was warm and sunny and we spent the entire day playing in that wonderful swimming pool. I haven’t been back there for many years. I hope it’s still the same. Or at least recognizable.
